Glaswegian Flock
REHAB. RELEASE. REHOME

Making a Difference
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and protect pigeons through medical care, safe rehoming, and public education. We work to heal and release those who can return to the wild, find loving homes for those who cannot, prevent suffering from injuries like stringfoot, and advocate for greater awareness and compassion toward these misunderstood birds.
Rehab & Release
Life-saving Actions
Every pigeon that comes into care receives a thorough assessment, medical treatment, and the time needed to heal. Once they are fully recovered and strong enough, they are released back into the wild, ideally near their original flock. The goal is always to give them a second chance at a healthy, free life.
Rescue & Rehome
A Safe Second Chance
Some pigeons, due to permanent injuries or disabilities, cannot survive in the streets. These birds are rehomed to safe, loving aviaries where they can live comfortably. Finding the right home ensures they get the care, space, and companionship they need to thrive.
Stringfoot
A Preventable Injury
Stringfoot is one of the most common yet preventable pigeon injuries, caused by threads, hair, or debris wrapping around their toes and cutting off circulation. Left untreated, it can lead to infection and often even amputation. Checking and gently removing any string from pigeons’ feet can save them from unnecessary suffering.
Public Advocacy
Knowledge for Compassion
Pigeons are deeply misunderstood, often unfairly labeled as pests. Educating the public about their history, intelligence, and the challenges they face can change perceptions and inspire compassion. By spreading awareness and advocating for humane treatment, we can help create a world where pigeons are respected and protected.
